Is it possible to get financed for a new home after starting a new job?

My partner and I graduate from college in June. We will be starting new jobs in Santa Cruz, CA and want to buy a home when we move. Is it possible to get financed for a home loan right after starting a new job?

There are many factors in qualifying for a loan.
Credit score
Income
Down payment
Other liabilities
Job stability

You will have to provide at least the last two year’s tax returns, recent pay stubs, and bank statements.
A lender is going to look at the trends, so if everything else is good, they can take into account your potential earnings.

If most of the factors are excellent, job history would not be so important.
Talk to your bank’s mortgage lending department or to a mortgage broker to find out how much if anything you could qualify for.
